Photos from Susan Lee, sandhill cranes at Maryville
Two years ago, before the fall Maryville retreat, the Mother advised us to “dance with the Cranes”,
hug a tree:

And have time for reflection

Our fall retreat starts Oct 17, in just ten days. I don’t know about you, but I really need a week of retreat: I look forward to sharing the time, space, dharma and silence with you.
(Have you thought about coming but haven’t registered? Final registration closes on October 10. Please contact Tana at om@deepspring.org. For information: https://deepspring.org/calendar/retreat-fall-2026-finding-our-still-center-in-the-midst-of-the-storm/).
We’ve all also been advised to take time to smell the roses.

Today I found my cat Joey a bit intoxicated with the roses.
For those with concern, google says:” true roses (from the genus Rosa) are completely non-toxic to cats”
