I don’t usually watch news at length but the televised hearing on Tuesday was riveting. One man was being verbally attacked in the Congressional Hearing. He spoke calmly and clearly, showing more interest in uncovering truth than defending himself. Among other things, he spoke the above words. “Fear may be contagious; courage is as well.”
I’d add a word: Fear may be contagious; compassion and courage are, as well.
We are so immersed in and surrounded by fear in our world today – this world, suspended in balance between positivity and negativity. outer world and personal world. Our own choice of courage and compassion opens those doors for others.
